(More customer reviews)Although the product description for this item states that it is shielded, there is no significant shielding present. This is your average unshielded PC modem cable which would be just fine for most applications. Unfortunately my application is in a high noise environment and I was searching for cables that are shielded when I came across this one. I guess I'm out the money I paid for this thing since it would cost as much as the purchase price to return it.

(More customer reviews)I am very pleased with the quality of this Cat6 cable. The molded ends give me a sturdy, worry-free connection. The 7-foot length is handy in positioning my wireless router to get a good signal. Cat 6 gives me faster transfer speeds.
This is a high-performance 550MHz cable designed for data, voice, and video. The specs say it will "drastically reduce both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 Mhz wire." It certainly is a vast improvement over the previous cable I replaced.
One of my favorite things about this cable are the ends. I like that I can snap them into place and they will stay in the slots without popping out. The secret is a special kind of molding they use. A firm, yet pliable piece of moldable plastic keeps the connector from popping out of the ethernet port. It is a great idea and it works!
NOTE: I find this cable far superior to the Belkin Cat-6 7-foot snagless patch cable. See my photos for comparison and my review of the Belkin 7-foot cable.

(More customer reviews)Beware buying this product from the vendor "Citi Electronics." They shipped me generic no-name brand cables, instead of the unique Cables-To-Go snagless custom boots. The "generics" are like typical Ethernet cables with the thick molded boot that fully encapsulates the plastic tab used to unlock the cable from a jack. I've found trying to press on this thick "thumb bump" boot to push on the tab difficult to use and sometimes I have to pull the boot back in order to press directly on the tab to properly disengage it. It seems these generic boots are just too large and may actually be pressed up against the jack housing causing tension on the jack and making disengagement harder (hence my need to peel back the boot or forcibly push the cable further into the jack to unload the tension on the tab).
Which is why I now use the Cables-To-Go snagless versions as it uses a light and small vinyl flap that rests on the plastic locking tab to aid in disengaging yet allows easy unobstructed view and access to this tab to ensure you are properly disengaging it without adding any stress or tension to the connection.

Cables To Go 26886 USB To DB9 Male Serial Adapter, Blue (0.45 Meters/1.5 Feet) Review

(More customer reviews)I had to load the XP drivers off the included driver CD, but otherwise, this adapter works perfectly fine.
PROS:
I had searched high and low for such an adapter so the fact that it exists is a big plus. The other plus is that it works perfectly fine. I think nearly all of the USB to serial adapters out there require you to load some type of driver first.
Also, this driver has a blue light (maybe an LED?) on it to let you know it's hooked in properly. The light didn't go on at first, but did once I loaded the drivers.
CONS:
The connection is very slow --- 9600 bps. I'm not sure if this is specific to this adapter or to all USB/Serial adapters.
My other complaint is that the driver put the adapter on COM port 9 (COM9) for some reason. I had to go under control panel and change it to COM1 before the adapter worked.
