(More customer reviews)This device allows you to COMBINE 2 ethernet ports from a switch/hub/router into 1 cable and to SPLIT the cable back out to 2 ports for use with computers or other ethernet devices.
A typical ethernet CAT5 cable has 8 wires in it; and for 10/100 ethernet networks you only use 4 of those 8 wires. Therefore you can use the other unused 4 wires to run another ethernet segment.
In order to use this product properly you have to connect 2 ports from your switch/hub/router. Then a regular CAT5 ethernet cable to wherever you need to go and put ANOTHER one of these on the end to split the signal back out.
Typical use:
PROBLEM: You have 1 ethernet cable connecting to a computer (for example) and you need to add another computer or other device. You do not want to run another ethernet cable.
SOLUTION: Install one of these on both sides of the ethernet cable. 1) At the source of your ethernet network (where your router/switch/hub is); remove the existing ethernet cable; then take two empty ports and plug them into the 2 ports side of this device. Then plug the ethernet cable that you just unplugged into the single port side of this device. 2) At the end where the computer is, remove the ethernet cable from the computer; and plug it into the single port side of this device. Then connect your computer and the additional device to the two port side of this device.
(It does not matter which port of this device you plug your computer/additional device into).
In closing ... You MUST combine 2 ethernet ports from your switch to make this work. I see reviews all the time from people who do not know how this works and they give bad reviews because it won't work for them.

(More customer reviews)After two no-brand aftermarket cables which were invisible to the phone and Nokia Phone Suite, this cable and the included software driver worked perfectly. (Note: Nokia Phone Suite must be separately downloaded, but is free of charge.)
We have uploaded photographs from our Nokia 6102i to our computer and added phone numbers from the computer keyboard to the phone.
Nokia has gone to pains to ensure that you buy an expensive cable. I recommend pricing accessories before selecting your next phone. Some Motorola phones accept a universal mini-USB cable which I believe is cheaper.

Cisco-Linksys BEFSR11 Cable/dsl Router with 1-PORT Review

(More customer reviews)This lil' linky does wonders for it's price. I got it up and going in about 15 minutes. First I connected my cable modem [provided by roadrunner] directly to the WAN port and out from the LAN port I connected my already existing HUB with both my computers already connected, and in about 2 - 3 steps and one restart both my computers were prtected by a firewall. It couldn't get any easier. I was prepared by downloading the latest version of the firmware before i even got it in the mail and before anything i upgraded and everything worked perfect.
I recommend this product for anyone with a Cable/DSL connection and more than one computer. That includes beginners and advanced users. A definate plus to anyones home office.
It takes more time to reconfigure applications like napster, webcam32, and ICQ than it does to setup the router. And don't forget a 3' CAT 5, because it doesn't come with the product.

4-Way Coax Cable Splitter 2Ghz Cable TV Video HDTV Review

(More customer reviews)If you need a rg-6 splitter this one works great. Its is 2GHz so it can handle HD programming. I have this hooked up to an over the air antenna and have no problem splitting the HD signals to all the rooms in my house. Another nice feature is the DC pass. If you need to hook a preamp next to your antenna you can power it through this splitter. That saves you from having to run another cable. I would buy another one if the need ever arises for another splitter. Overall I'm very happy with this product.
