(More customer reviews)This DSL Modem w/Wi-Fi has worked for over 3 years without a burp! I have used the wireless connection that I purchased with this modem on my desktop computer since day 1. In the beginning, I had the Modem hooked up to a 2nd desktop; but since I moved in 6 months ago, the Modem is not hooked up to anything except the phone line, and everything still works flawlessly.
I have also used laptops with this modem in addition to the wireless 2Wire brand wi-fi receiver. I had absolutely no problem connecting to my network using the easy to install 2Wire software.
This modem was provided as a package with SBC Yahoo when I started using it. I have moved out of their coverage area and it is working flawlessly with a different provider.
One last thing I must mention; The 2Wire FIREWALL is perfect! No one outside my network has ever was able to connect to it - not even next door neighbors. When I was in SBC territory I often connected to my neighbors DSL when SBC was down (I lived in a rural area with lots of trees = DSL down more frequently than in a city).
It has been the same since I have moved to a different area. My network is rock solid - no one else can connect - but I still have the advantage of being able to connect to at least 5 neighbors now wirelessly during the infrequent times that my DSL is down here in the city.
I've had many DSL and Broadband modems over the years (I'm a frequent mover) and after using the 2Wire brand, I'm completely spoiled! I will never use anything else!
