After spend several hours installing and talking to our internet provider, we found out that the cable had broken wires. What happened to quality control??? (More customer reviews)These cables were a good price and a decent cable. I would've given 5 stars, but when the description says that the cable is orange... I expect the cable to be orange. When I received these cables, they were more the color of orange/brown baby food. Luckily these cables are not being seen by anyone but me (as they are in my entertainment cabinet).
I checked the package to see if I was sent the wrong product, but the package says orange. Maybe the person who picked this color orange should get their eyes checked...

Retractable USB/Mini/Firewire 1394 Cable Travel Kit - 6 Adapters/Converters Review

(More customer reviews)I acquired this to have the universal ability to connect many types of hardware to my PC without having to shuffle through cables in a drawer. The adaptors attach and unattach easily enough, but after one full extension of the retracable wires it will not completely retract any more... The two specific connectors I wanted it for do not work with the hardware I wanted them for. The conectors work at the most basic function. But if you have a higher end device, the connector will not do anything more than simply connect it to the PC. I tried the firewire to USB connector and it simply allowed my PC to recognize something had been connected but would not allow me to access the unit connected... Maybe some included software would be a good idea on a mini disk? If you are looking for a USB to USB, this will work, but other connectors don't really do anything. If you have the wires already, don't bother with this unit... in fact, even though this is extremely inexpensive, don't bother period.

(More customer reviews)Although the product description for this item states that it is shielded, there is no significant shielding present. This is your average unshielded PC modem cable which would be just fine for most applications. Unfortunately my application is in a high noise environment and I was searching for cables that are shielded when I came across this one. I guess I'm out the money I paid for this thing since it would cost as much as the purchase price to return it.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this product here on Amazon.com from Smarthome and got it on my front porch within a few days. I went in, removed the regular old cable wall plate and screwed this new one right onto the cable in our wall. Then I used a screw driver to put it up on the wall with the 2 color screws that came with it. It was real easy and now I watch TV while I'm on the Internet (like right now). The picture is perfect and the best part was I didn't have to buy a cable to connect this splitter to the wall. It's ON the wall. I'm going to give one to my folks.

(More customer reviews)Quite simply, it doesn't. It is a simple cable. Either it works, or it doesn't. It worked for me, but the seller I bought it from wound it poorly and it took me a long time to fix the error. Be careful of buying cables that are twisted -- they can get pinched in the process of unwinding them. There is a RIGHT way and a WRONG way to spool cable or wind it up (even just using your arm) and you need to know the difference between the two if you are intending on not damaging your cable.
The long and short:
The cable was long, and worked.
The short: Buyer beware.

(More customer reviews)Since the product was advertised as a "snagless" patch cable I was hoping that it would be much more flexible to use with a laptop that would be moved around. The cable stills snags with other cables and is relative stiff like a normal fixed ethernet cable.

(More customer reviews)You can use the adapters on this device to adapt the cable to support different kinds of things. One moment, it's a USB cable! The next moment, it's a FireWire cable! And if what you want is a cable that can be used for many different things, this is right up your alley. It works just fine for this purpose.
It does _NOT_, however, convert FireWire to USB or vice-versa. If this is what you need, then you will be disappointed, because it was never intended to do this.

(More customer reviews)I am very pleased with the quality of this Cat6 cable. The molded ends give me a sturdy, worry-free connection. The 7-foot length is handy in positioning my wireless router to get a good signal. Cat 6 gives me faster transfer speeds.
This is a high-performance 550MHz cable designed for data, voice, and video. The specs say it will "drastically reduce both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 Mhz wire." It certainly is a vast improvement over the previous cable I replaced.
One of my favorite things about this cable are the ends. I like that I can snap them into place and they will stay in the slots without popping out. The secret is a special kind of molding they use. A firm, yet pliable piece of moldable plastic keeps the connector from popping out of the ethernet port. It is a great idea and it works!
NOTE: I find this cable far superior to the Belkin Cat-6 7-foot snagless patch cable. See my photos for comparison and my review of the Belkin 7-foot cable.

Cables To Go 27173 Cat6 550 MHz Snagless Patch Cable, Green (10 Feet) Review

(More customer reviews)Beware buying this product from the vendor "Citi Electronics." They shipped me generic no-name brand cables, instead of the unique Cables-To-Go snagless custom boots. The "generics" are like typical Ethernet cables with the thick molded boot that fully encapsulates the plastic tab used to unlock the cable from a jack. I've found trying to press on this thick "thumb bump" boot to push on the tab difficult to use and sometimes I have to pull the boot back in order to press directly on the tab to properly disengage it. It seems these generic boots are just too large and may actually be pressed up against the jack housing causing tension on the jack and making disengagement harder (hence my need to peel back the boot or forcibly push the cable further into the jack to unload the tension on the tab).
Which is why I now use the Cables-To-Go snagless versions as it uses a light and small vinyl flap that rests on the plastic locking tab to aid in disengaging yet allows easy unobstructed view and access to this tab to ensure you are properly disengaging it without adding any stress or tension to the connection.
