BlackBerry 9700 Bold Charging USB 2.0 Data Cable Review

There are many sellers for this cable at amazon. I bought from seller Ytrade and Eoutletstore because their price is lowest and it's only $1.5 and free shipping. I need 5 cables for my family, and both sellers ship very fast. $1.50, it's almost just the stamp rate. I am very happy and maybe order some more for back up.

U.S. Robotics 005686-03 56K V.90 External Fax Modem Review

U.S. Robotics 005686-03 56K V.90 External Fax Modem
Average Reviews:

I was having trouble with disconnects from my ISP (almost every 10 minutes) and they told me that my modem, a Rockwell HCF 56K, was notorious for disconnects with them. A reliable modem is important to me because I run a business here on the web, and when I need to do something I don't want to be disconnected. After shopping around I decided on getting a 3Com US Robotics External 56K Faxmodem. Installation of the modem was extreamly easy...just hook it up, restart the computer, and plug in play does the rest. I had to change my connection properties to use this modem though, but that was also simple. After dialing up I was amazed at the speed. With my old modem, it usually downloaded files at 2 to 3.5 Kilobytes a second (I know that is very bad, but that's how it was), and now my new modem downloads at 4 to 7 kilobytes a second! An amazing improvement! And I haven't been disconnected once.
When you buy the modem you will also have to buy a cable, since it doesn't come with one. My cable is a Belkin DB9 Female/DB25 Male Modem Cable. This modem is a great choice, probably the best.

Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Router (F5D8232-4) Review

Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Router (F5D8232-4)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I suspect most of the people with issues or complaints have version 1000 and / or old firmware.
Additionally one needs to use this in conjunction with 802.11n wireless adapters (preferably Draft 2.0 for future upgradeability / compatibility) in order to obtain the maximum benefit out of the router, at least from a wireless performance perspective.
I recently purchased version 2000 of the N1 Vision (check the sticker on the bottom of the box). I have it mated with two PC's with 802.11n Draft 2.0 (2T2R - 2 Transmit 2 Receive) wireless USB adapters (each with just an internal, but high quality, antenna).
I was up and running in no time.
I also had no problems using VPN to connect to my office network.
I am using WPA2 with AES encryption.
For extra security I have it set up with (broadcast SSID set to 'off' and have specifically only allowed my two wireless adapters by entering their MAC addresses in the 'MAC address control' of the router's setup utility).
Upstairs (one room away from the N1 Vision I get 95 - 100% signal quality and 90+ signal strength with a pretty consistent connection speed of 270 Mbps! (not the full 300 maximum but certainly close enough for me). :)
Downstairs (one floor down and all the way on the other side of the house relative to the router), I get something like 45 - 75% signal strength depending where I am in the room. The speed varies between 45 Mbps, at worst (will have to verify this tonight as I only used it one night and believe this minimum can be improved upon), to a more typical 170 or 210 Mbps (wide range, I know, but I only tested it one night and haven't tweaked settings or placement yet via the flexible silver mini extension cable).
The display is useful in that you can see who connected to your network in the past 24 hours (if an unexpected visitor enters your wireless network, at least you will have a way of knowing it).
I am pleased with the Vision N1's speed, range and overall performance, other than the disconnect issue for which there is an easy enough workaround until they fix it permanently, hopefully, via a firmware upgrade for the 2000 model).
Keep in mind my testing was done using Draft 2.0 802.11n wireless USB adapters. Wireless G adapters won't have the same performance or even close to it.The one thing to note is that there is a known issue where the N1 Vision disconnects every two hours (wireless or all around). This occurs when the router software connects to the time server to get the time (check the router setup page's security log and you can see the entries every two hours).
There is a firmware fix for this for version 1000 but ironically NOT for the newer version 2000.
The N1 Vision 1000 hardware has other issues (reported overheating etc.) though, so I still much prefer version 2000.
For version 2000 there is a workaround to stop it from disconnecting every 2 hours (search the net for it as it requires accessing a "hidden" page).
The workaround works very well and is only required to be performed once after a reboot of the router.
I haven't had to do so in a long time.
I gave it 4 stars due to the issue with it disconnecting every 2 hours and the fact that version 2000 does NOT have a firmware fix for this, even though the older version does.
This should have been caught during pre-release testing. If not, at worst, a firmware fix should have been created for version 2000 very early on.

Mediabridge Ultra Series - Tri Shielded Coaxial Digital Audio Video Cable - Pro Grade F-Pin to F-Pin Solid Brass Connectors (15 Feet) Review

Mediabridge Ultra Series - Tri Shielded Coaxial Digital Audio Video Cable - Pro Grade F-Pin to F-Pin Solid Brass Connectors (15 Feet)

I had a coaxial cable going to the cable box that kept loosening up on its own causing the picture to breakup. Although I had extra cables laying around, I realized that they were all junk and started looking for a decent replacement. I was going to buy Monster, but didn't need 25' or 50' so I decided to try Mediabridge. This cable worked great. I really like these connectors over the ones with molded plastic behind the nut. The nut turns easily without the rest of the cable moving with it. How long they last remains to be seen, but for now, these will be my cable of choice.

Apple Airport Express Review

Apple Airport Express
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
August 22, 2009 Update
-----------------------
The software that comes with new Airport Expresses is much more user friendly. You may find going through the instructions listed below is not required.
Regards,
S. Monroe
-----------------------------------------------------------
The CD that comes with the Airport Express has been useless to me in setting up a Windows XP computer to work with an AE. The instructions below should get you up and running.
1. First download the latest version of both the Airport Update and Airport Express Firmware Updater from [...]
2. Run the latest version of the Airport Update (4.1 at the time of this writing)
3. Disable your firewalls, plug in the Airport Express (AX) to an electrical outlet and attach it to your computer or router with an ethernet cable. The AX will have a steady or blinking yellow light.
4. Launch the Airport Admin Utility...it should detect the Airport Express in the "Base Station Chooser" within a minute or so and the light on the AX should turn green. You may have to hard reset the unit a few times by pushing the small reset button with a paperclip for about 10 seconds. If, like mine, it does not show up in the Airport Admin Utility leave the AX attached by ethernet and reboot, launch the Airport Admin Utility, and hopefully it will show up quickly.
5. As soon as it does show up, launch the latest Airport Express Firmware Updater (I used 6.1.1) and update the AX...this seemed to make a significant difference in the ease of detection later. This will take a minute or so. The AX will reset and you may have to leave it attached by ethernet, reboot, and relaunch the Airport Admin Utility to detect it again.
6. Once detected by the Airport Admin Utility, click the "Configure" button in the lower right hand corner.
7. A new set of tabs will pop up. Click on the "Airport" tab and select "Create Wireless Network" from the Airport Network dropdown box. This will be changed to "Join an Existing Wireless Network" later.
8. Now click on the "Network" tab and and check the "Distribute IP Addresses", the "Share a single IP address" button, and from IP range drop down list choose the IP range for your router (192.168.x.x being the most common for Dlink, lynksys, Netgear, and other non-Apple routers).
9. Go back to the "Airport" tab and change the "Create a Wireless Network" to "Join an Existing Wireless Network".
10. In the "Network Name" box type in the name of your wireless network (also called your SSID)
11. On the same page rename your AX to whatever you want it to be called in iTunes (often the physical location of the speakers the AX will be attached to, ex: Living Room, Bedroom, Ambient Sound), give it a new password (required), and give it a location.
12. If you are using security click on the security button, choose your encryption settings, and add your WEP key or password, etc. It might be handy to have your router security info open in a window so you can copy and paste the key right into the appropriate box.
13. If you now go back to the "Network" tab you will see everything is greyed out but now your new IP Range settings are visible.
14. With the AX still attached by etherlink, click the "Update" button and wait a minute or so for the AX to update. The changes you made should be reflected in the Airport Admin Utility when the update is complete.
15. Now you can launch iTunes and you should see a button in the lower right hand corner that says "My Computer". Click this button and you will see you have the choice of your computers speakers or the AX. Any further changes you want to make to the configuration such as the name you see in that button are easiest done while attached by ethernet so try to get it the way you want it with further Airport Admin Utility updates before unplugging the ethernet cable. As long as your Airport Admin Utility can see the AX you can update without being connected too.
16. When you are satisfied with the configuration and the AX is updated and is showing up in iTunes go ahead and unplug the ethernet cable. Now you can move The AX to your chosen locations electrical outlet, and hook up the audio cable. The AX light will blink yellow for a few minutes while being detected and then turn green. You can now choose your AX in iTunes and start playing your music as normal. Itunes will show it is busy connecting to the AX for about 30 seconds and then hopefully you will hear your music played from your remote speakers. I hope pulling this information together helps someone a little. Let me know if I missed something and I will update asap. Good Luck!

AT&T USBConnect Velocity Broadband USB Modem (AT&T) Review

ATandT USBConnect Velocity Broadband USB Modem (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this data card for nearly a year now and used it all around the country. The connection has been incredibly unreliable. Some times webpages and emails load fine but most of the time the connection is so slow it's unusable. Many times I end up paying for an internet connection just to get access to email. In fact, the reliability is so bad I spent 10 minutes trying to get a good enough connection to write this review. In many instances the signal strength shows to be excellent but the card will not connect to any website or download any email. In other instances the connection manager suddenly terminates the connection and tells me no wireless device is present even though I can clearly see it is still plugged in and the indicator light shows I'm connected. When it does finally connect, the connection is typically more like a dial up connection rather than a low end DSL connection. The last speed test I did showed my connection at .06 MB/s with a latency of anywhere between 347ms to 1818ms...the at&t network status was reporting 34ms of latency at the time on their internal network. In another instance the latency was so bad the server eventually gave up testing. Support from AT&T has been dismal in getting this problem fixed. I've spent as long as an hour and a half on the phone with tech support and got no real resolution.
Bottom line for me would be to find another solution. Maybe the problem is with the AT&T network rather than the data card itself. There's no real good way to tell and AT&T has no interest in admitting fault. Until the issues get resolved though...I would stay away from this card.

Electroline EDA-2400 Four Port Cable TV HDTV Signal Booster/Amplifier (Retail Package) Review

Now I get all channels with my Comcast digital-to-analog converters. Every time I called Comcast about the missing channels, their answer was updating or reseting the box remotely; this was never solved the issues (end of their customer service script). My Internet research suggested a signal amp was the problem. Worked like a charm.
