(More customer reviews)In order for the USB cord to work on the PRS 505, it must have a DIRECT connection from the E-reader to the computer. With this core, your computer will not recogize your device.
It is stated in the intructions for the PRS 505 e-reader, that it can not be hooked up to a USB hub, and it took me a while, but I figured out that it can't be hooked up to any device that is not DIRECTLY connecting the reader and computer. This cord seems direct, but the fact that the tip is removable is the deal breaker, I think.
The product itself seems sound and I'm sure it would be awesome for other devices but the 505 e-reader is not one of them.
