(More customer reviews)It doesn't split the signal so that two machines can access simultaneously, because thats not how it works. Networking standards don't allow for splitting in the same way you think about splitting a cable signal. That's what a router or hub is for..

(More customer reviews)Found this splitter to be very useful. These must be used in pairs, one at each end of the CAT5 cable. Allows you to run two Ethernet circuits over the same CAT5 cable run. I've used it to run both Ethernet and Phone line over the same CAT5 cable. I've seen cheaper priced units but was very happy with the construction of this one. Also like the schematic which is included on the unit which shows how the CAT5 is being routed. Very pleased with this unit. (Note, If you are running GIGABIT ethernet, all 4-pairs of the CAT5 are already being used.)

It is slow, the fields don't sync properly, it doesn't connect with the phone most of the time, the calendar doesn't work - the list goes on. There is other PC sync software that does the trick for fraction of the price. If you are a Mac OS X user, you are in luck - Apple's active sync allows you to choose your phone model, and syncs the phone fields beautifully for free! At the end I even got rid of my Motorola and switched back to Nokia - their FREE PC Suite software gives complete PDA functionality to any Nokia phone. Shame on Motorola's software developers!

(More customer reviews)The web interface for this router isn't all that great, and it's incompatible with dd-wrt and openwrt. However, the performance is solid, as I haven't yet ever had to reset this router. It happens to support all of the things I've needed to do with it, so hacking the firmware hasn't been necessary, anyway.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this cable through Amazon and it was fulfilled by one of their vendor affiliates [...]. Within a couple of days of ordering, I received a call from [...] indicating that the item they had in stock was not in fact the same brand/model number nor shielded as shown on Amazon's site. After discussing my needs, it seemed apparent that the shielding was not needed for my application and I went ahead and let them ship me what they had in stock (I was in a bit of a hurry). The cable I received seems to be well made and is working just fine. So this review is more about the discrepancy between what was advertised vs. what the vendor actually had in stock ... Amazon, you need to be more careful in the consistency aspects of such things.

We bought it to hook my son's X-box 360 up to our cable router, rather than spend $100 on the wireless device. It works fine and found that I don't need to spend $40 on a cable in a store.
